Project management,
start to finish

You can't manage what you don't plan. As your construction project manager, we take the consultants, the council, and the sub-trades off your plate, so the job finishes on time.

Overview

Someone has to hold the whole job in their head. It should not have to be you.

A build has consultants, a council, a dozen sub-trades, a budget, and a programme that all moves at once. With almost two decades of industry experience behind it, our project management for construction projects puts one experienced NZ building project manager across the lot and keeps the work to a high standard and a firm date.

It matters most for owners who are not local. Whether it’s for a new build or renovation project management in Whitianga, you get reporting you can act on from wherever you are, and a single number to call when you want a straight answer.

What's included

What we take
off your desk

The full scope, or the parts of it you would rather not do yourself. Take as much or as little of our building project management services as the job needs.

Design and planning

Coordinating architects, structural and civil engineers, and surveyors so the documentation arrives complete and in the right order.

Consents and feasibility

Consent applications prepared and tracked, and an early feasibility read on whether the project stacks up at all.

Quantities and materials

Materials estimated and ordered to the programme, with long-lead items identified before they hold up the site.

Subcontractor coordination

Trades engaged, sequenced and held to their dates, using relationships built over twenty years in one place.

Site supervision

The day-to-day construction site management: regular site inspections, compliance monitoring, and council inspections booked and attended on your behalf.

Budget and programme

The money and the dates tracked in one place, with variations flagged when they appear rather than at the end.

Services and utilities

Power, water, wastewater and connections arranged so nothing waits on a form nobody filed.

Maintenance checks

Post-completion checks to catch the small things while they are still small.

How it works

How we run
a project

Our construction project management services start with a plan. Everything after that is keeping it honest.

  1. 01

    Scope and feasibility

We work out what the project really involves, what it is likely to cost, and whether the timeframe you have in mind is real.

  2. 02

    Plan and programme

Consultants, consents, trades, and materials laid out on one programme, with the dependencies and the long-lead items named.

  3. 03

    Consents and procurement

Applications lodged and tracked, trades engaged and priced, materials ordered against the programme.

  4. 04

    Supervision and reporting

Construction site supervision, compliance checks and council bookings, with progress, budget, and photographs reported back to you regularly.

  5. 05

    Completion and aftercare

Code compliance, handover, and maintenance checks once you are in.

Why pick us

Why hand it
to us

Three reasons owners give us the whole job rather than pieces of it.

Two decades of it

Almost twenty years of managing builds on this coast, and the standing relationships with engineers, architects, sub-trades, and council that only come from staying put. The same programme discipline carries across to commercial construction project management, not just homes. It's the approach behind our work on the Bank of New Zealand building in Whitianga.

One point of contact

Craig is your contact from the first conversation to the final inspection, and he doesn't hand that off. If you're managing this from Auckland or further, you deal with one person at a construction project management company who knows the answer.

Registered Master Builders

A trade qualification on its own was never going to be enough. Master Builder registration takes building experience, trade qualifications, workmanship references and financial scrutiny. We've held it since 2005, and every new home we build has the option of the 10-Year Master Build Guarantee.

In their words
Amazing, very professional team. The finished outcome has exceeded our expectations.

FAQs

Questions we hear about project management

Yes. We can provide project management services on its own, or for a build that our crew isn’t swinging the hammer on. You get the same single point of contact and the same programme discipline either way.

We provide regular reporting, in writing, with photographs, so you can see where the job is at without being on site. Whether you’re in New Zealand or overseas, Craig is the one person you call when you want a straight answer, and that doesn’t change throughout the life of the project.

We flag a variation the moment it appears, with the cost and the reason attached, rather than letting it surface as a surprise at the end. Budget and programme are tracked in the same place, so you always know where both stand before you're asked to approve anything. Nothing is saved up for the final invoice.

Yes. Consent applications, council inspections, and code compliance are all booked, tracked and attended on your behalf as part of the job, not billed as extras along the way.

We can. While we mostly run high-end residential builds on the eastern Coromandel, the same approach scales up, from commercial construction project management through to project management services for civil engineering projects where a site needs that kind of input. If you have work like that in mind, get in touch and we'll tell you honestly whether it's a fit.

Yes. Renovation project management in Whitianga and across the eastern Coromandel runs on the same programme as a new build. We handle consultancy, consent, trades, and budget held to one plan, with the added work of sequencing around whatever part of the house you’re still living in.
